209 km east of Shiraz, a suitable situation for the cultivation of saffron and fig is provided by the tropical climatic condition, bountiful water supply and the fertile soil. The fig tree is one of the valuable plants due to its qualitative wood, delightful blossoms, and the ripened fruits. In this tour we will travel to Palangan strait which is completely covered by fig, pomegranate, cypress and willow trees.

Itinerary:

Depart to Neiriz (209 km, 3 hrs). En route visit the Sassanid castle of Sarvestan (1 hr), explore in saffron farms and fig woods (1 hr). Finally trek in the Palangan strait (3 hrs) and return to Shiraz (3 hrs).
