Much of our knowledge of the Art of Ancient Persia comes from objects made of stone and clay that have survived for thousands of years. The Art of Ancient Persia was a combination of different art that the Persians borrowed from the various peoples they conquered. They mixed Greek, Egyptian, Assyrian, Babylonian and their own styles to create something that was uniquely Persian. Here we will take a look at its history, the styles and the artistic works of the people in the Ancient Persia.
Heavy weapons and instruments tend to disappear. Copper knives, daggers, cold chisels and arrowheads abound. Articles of adornment are made of cornelian and turquoise as before, but also of lapis-lazuli and there are long copper pins with hemi-spherical heads and necklaces of mother-of-pearl, rock-crystal and jade.
