Sheykh Baha'i was a Prominent scholar, philosopher, architect, mathematician and persian poet who lived in the16th century, during the reign of the Safavids.
He has done comprehensive researches in the areas of philosophy, logic, math, islamic figh, literature & poetry. In his poetries he was very much influenced by Hafez and Rumi.
As an architect he has played a significant role in Safavid's Iran development.
In Isfahan, he organized an advanced water distribution system to distribute Zayandehrood river's water in order to supply water for the capital and its different areas.
He also built the famous Sheykh Baha'i hammam (public bath), restored Monar Jonban, made a sun clock and built Mobarakeh Madrasa in Isfahan.
It is believed that he was the founder of Sangak bakery which uses small hot stones to cook the bread.
Since 2004, Isfahan Science & Technology Town holds a technology & entrepreneurship festival after his name.
According to his wish and will, he was buried in the holy city of Mashhad, near tomb of Imam Reza.
