Iran Visa Photo Requirements
Your photo is an essential part of your Iran Visa Grant Notice. Here are the necessary information to get familiar with the proper way to provide a suitable photo for your Iran Visa.
We suggest you to use a professional photo for your Iran Visa to make sure that your photo meets all the needs. Please keep in mind that your Iran Visa photo should not be digitally enhanced to change you appearance.
Here are the details to know about Iran Visa photo:
- Your Iran Visa photo should be in color
- It’s format should be in JPEG (.jpg or .jpeg)
- Your Iran Visa Photo should be equal to or less than 500 kB (kilobytes) (less than 10 kB is not accepted)
- Your Iran Visa Photo must be in a rectangular aspect ratio
- Your Iran Visa photo size should be in 400 (minimum-width) x 600 (minimum-height) pixels, with about 70-80%
- Part of the Iran Visa photo must be filled by the applicant’s face
- It should be taken within the last 6 months to show your current appearance
- Your Iran Visa photo must be taken with a plain white or off-white background
- camera You should take your Iran Visa photo directly facing the camera
- It should be taken with both eyes open and without smiling and your full face must be visible
- To obtain your Iran Visa there is no need to wear a hat or head covering which obscures your hair.
- Devices such as headphones and hands free are not acceptable in your Iran Visa photo
- You are not allowed to wear eye glasses in you Iran Visa, except for medical reasons.
- It is not acceptable to choose a scanned photo of your deriver’s license or other official documents for your Iran Visa.
These are MFA’s regulations for your Iran Visa photo, but there is no need to be worried about Iran Visa Grant Notice photo, the only thing you should do is to send me your photo with a white background and I will take care of the rest.
Even if you do not have a new photo, you can take your picture in front of a plain white wall by yourself.
Appearance Changing
You will be asked to take a new photo in case your photo does not reflect your current face.
In below mentioned circumstances you will be requested to obtain a new photo for your Iran Visa:
- In case of having facial surgery
- Facial tattoos or piercings being added or removed
- Losing/ gaining a significant amount of weight
- Having a gender transition
- All in all, if the photo taken does not differ from your current appearance, there would be no need to renew your Iran Visa photo.
- Growing beard or hair coloring would not be considered as an appearance changing.
- If you have a child under the age of 16 and his/ her face has changed based on the aging process, he/ she does not need to take a new photo for his/ her Iran Visa.
v Please bear in mind that the acceptance of your Iran Visa photo depends on the Iran embassy or consulate where you apply for your Iran Visa.
Here are some notes about your baby or toddler:
The photo of your baby or toddler should be with his/her eyes open, without the existence of any other person in the photo/ image.
Note:
To pick a better photo, you can lay your baby on an off-white sheet to make sure he/ she is in the proper position. Make certain his/ her eyes are open and there is no shadows on his/ her face.
